Vision

Our vision is to create awareness and encourage the younger generation to plant lots of trees and create a healthy environment around so that our future generations will breathe easy and lead healthy life.

Importance

Tree Plantation means planting tree in a large number. Trees are very important to us in many ways. We cannot think of our existence without trees. They give us so much, taking almost nothing in return! Trees cover a great deal of our food deficiency by providing fruits and vitamins. They supply timber for various uses. Trees prevent soil erosion. Many kinds of medicines are prepared form leaves, roots and barks of trees. Above all, they help us to keep ecological balance supplying oxygen.They can be planted in educational institutions and rood sides. But our trees and forests are not sufficient in proportion to our total land area. To preserve our environment we should plant more and more trees.

Our Methodology

• We procure saplings from the district forest development authority at a nominal cost and transport on our own to the sites
• We conduct plantation program at the schools and various important places in the villages in the month of July and august every year.
• We give high priority to the schools adopted by Sneha Hasthaalu for this program and we make every student in the higher classes involve in this. We assign a plant to one or group of students to preserve the plants in their premises of the school. We also motivate the students by awareness speeches and prizes
• We review this program every month to ensure the better growth of the plants
• Most of the plants are guarded by an iron mesh to protect from the cattle and label them with the name of the donor
• We have been doing this starting from 2012 and we have been observing progressive growth of the greenery in the premises of schools and other areas of the villages’ and voluntary participation of the students and villagers year over year
